1. Why is plain language important in your field/work?
Good technical writing requires technical concepts to be translated into plain language for non-technical and international audiences. Plain language is imperative to sound professional communication.
2. What is your presentation focus, and what are some of the key points participants will learn?
The focus is on the impact the English language has on international communication and how dominant languages overshadow minority languages in localization.
3. What is the best plain language advice you can give, or have received?
Put yourself in your readers’ shoes. Clear writing always puts the audience as equal to, if not above, the message.
